The Erie Canal ignited many important changes in New York State. Syracuse grew from a sleepy village in the 1820's to a growing city by the 1850's. The salt industry in Syracuse and Liverpool, as well as other industries in the area prospered and that growth is depicted.

Fifty seat theater features a multimedia orientation slide show on the history of Syracuse and the Erie Canal. Our traditional heritage center for culture and entertainment, just a short drive from the area's interstates, is enjoying a tremendous renaissance.
